Negative Reinforcement

Unfortunately, positive reinforcement is not always successful. When students don't respond to positive strategies, the following steps are taken:

  1. Move name clip one time (Warning)
  2. Move name clip two times (Loss of privileges)
  3. Move name clip three times (note or call home to parents)
  4. Move name clip four times (behavior slip and/or send to principal)

At times, it is necessary to skip the first three steps for major offenses such as fighting, disrespect, or consistent classroom misbehavior. If this is consistent, other privileges may be taken away at the teacher's discretion.
