Absences

When students are absent, they are responsible for making up the work. Students will have an “Absent Folder” on their desk when they return. Students have the same number of days they were gone to complete their work. For example, if John misses two days of school, he would have two days after he returned to school to make up the work.  Much of our learning is done in class (ie; group work, experiments, classroom discussions) and will be difficult to complete at home, so regular attendance is highly encouraged.  Please strive to plan family trips, appointments, etc. at times outside of school hours.  I know this isn't always possible, but it will greatly enhance your child's learning.
